The Threes of Charitable Estate Planning

“The Threes of Charitable Estate Planning” being presented in-person by Tim Steinbach, Senior Development Officer for CentraCare Foundation, on Wednesday, June 14th from 11:00 a.m. to Noon (please note earlier start time) which will be in the conference room at CentraCare in Redwood Falls. The presentation and lunch are complimentary, being sponsored by Leave A Legacy SW MN.
Tim will give an overview of planned giving, followed by information related to the CentraCare Foundation’s Values Based Approach to Estate Planning. This unique approach to Value Based Estate Planning has individuals or families answer three questions:
- My Needs: Do I have enough to live on for the rest of my life?
- Heirs’ Needs: What should I do for my heirs? How much should I leave to my heirs?
- Social Capital: Would I rather leave a portion of my estate to charity or to the government?
These three questions will lead to an in-depth discussion of tactical or strategic giving.
