Detailed Information

Our history:

The Foundation was established in 1988 for the purposes of supporting civic, charitable, benevolent, educational, cultural, and other eligible purposes as approved by its board of directors.  We have a focus in the following areas:

  • The welfare of communities and their residents.
  • The welfare and benefit of any public school district.
  • The welfare and benefit of any charitiable organization located or operating in the defined area.
  • The benefit of students and former students of the schools servicing the member communities by providing scholarships and loans.

Our mission:

The Redwood Area Communities Foundation, Inc. is an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit entity organized for the welfare and benefit of Redwood County residents or organizations who live or have their principal place of business in Redwood County or within a radius of 10 miles of Redwood County.

Individuals or entities interested in creating their own donor advised fund would become a subsidiary of RACF.  We currently serve 34 non-profit subsidiaries which you will find on our website, including Leave A Legacy SW MN.  To setup your own fund, contact Pat Dingels, Ex. Director of RACF, for additional information.
