Our History:

The Five Star Community Foundation was established in 1997 by representatives of Lucan, Seaforth, Vesta, Wabasso and Wanda communities to benefit the citizens of the area, to build a sense of community, and to serve future charitable and cultural needs.  The Five Star Community Foundation, through providing mini grants and large grant opportunities, has empowered significant projects to be completed in the five serviced communities resulting in high impact projects being able to be completed.  Foundation dollars have been helping to improve the quality of life in rural Minnesota for over twenty years.

Our Mission:

The mission of The Five Star Community Foundation is to create, encourage and support the development and maintenance of various charitable activities, community projects, and assist in humanitarian and educational endeavors in order to build a strong vibrant quality of life by converting tax dollars into community assets.
