The Importance of a Good Education

Donald Reiner was a crop and dairy farmer who did not have any children of his own, but did adopt two boys, nor did he graduate from high school, but he realized the importance of a good education. Mr. Reiner died in 2008 and in his passing established the Donald Reiner Educational Trust with a $2.1 million bequest which will be used to benefit Springfield area students in post high school endeavors. Earnings from the endowment will be used to fund scholarships to benefit students for decades to come.
